For D-Railed, (Dan Zahler) life and music have run parallel courses. D-Railed grew up surrounded by music. Playing saxophone from age 10 he was introduced to classical music. Finding this style of music too restrictive, he enjoyed exploring the more improvisational and experimental style of jazz and blues. After playing with jazz quartets and various other gigging bands, D=Raileds musical tastes started to evolve and an adoration of the lower frequency range instigated him to learn the bass guitar.
D-Railed loved the energy and madness that drum and bass exuded, driven by his favourite instrument...the bass. This bass however being constructed digitally, not performed live. After seeing the similarities between dnb and dubstep, but with the introduction of a slower tempo and increased groove, D-Railed continued his musical journey.
Music has a deep connection with emotion, and the listener's emotional response to a track is very important to D-Railed in the production process. D-Railed has always been interested in the darker side to music as it can connect with a listener at a much deeper level. It is evident from his music that each of D-Raileds tunes has a theme and a picture in mind.
Everyone sees the world through different eyes and it is through his music that D-Railed expresses his. A dark, but passionate representation of modern urban living inspired by experience. D-Railed is set to take you on a journey into the depths of darkness be prepared!!!!
